Exhibit at SVAC!
Call for Artists:
Shenandoah Valley Art Center is accepting applications for solo or group exhibitions in our Cabell-Arehart Invitational Gallery for the 2020 calendar year. The Invitational Gallery is a light filled 34’x18’ space that can be transformed a variety of ways with some additional free-standing walls.
We are seeking innovative and cohesive exhibits from Virginia artists in all media. Exhibits are one month in duration. SVAC will provide a marketing package and opening reception, with the option of an additional artist talk on the schedule. Commission to SVAC is 20% on all sales.
To apply for an exhibit please provide the following materials in in a zip file to firstname.lastname@example.org:
10 images of your work (these do not need to be the exact images you will exhibit, but they do need to be indicative of your skill level and illustrate your artistic voice).
A show proposal: a simple word document outlining what you hope to achieve with a particular body of work.
An artist statement: a general statement of your artistic methods and purpose.
CV or Resume: a basic outline of your exhibit and publication history
Submissions will be reviewed the last week in August and artists will be notified by September 10. Please call SVAC 540-949-7662 if you have any questions.
Outside Exhibit Opportunities for Members
As an SVAC member, you are encouraged to take advantage of some of our outside exhibit opportunities.
Often community organizations and local businesses reach out to us to help fill their walls with art. We offer these opportunities to our members first.
